1. Who is responsible
The app is operated by Bahadır Telef, in Türkiye.
Privacy questions and requests: bahadirtelef9@gmail.com. A postal address is not published on this page.
2. What the app does
Sudoku League is a Sudoku game. You can play as a guest without an account, or create an account to join seasonal leagues, earn league points, and use hints in league games. The app shows Google ads, including optional rewarded ads that give hints, extra league points, or temporary themes.
3. Information the app processes
Account
- Email address and password, sent to Supabase Authentication. The app does not keep the password in its own tables.
- Username (3–30 letters, numbers, or underscores). It is also used as your display name and is shown to other players in your league group.
- Account identifier and the time the account was created.
- Profile statistics: games played, perfect games, best time, experience points, and your hint balance. Token balances from earlier versions were converted into hints.
- A sign-in session stored on the device so you stay signed in.
If email confirmation is turned on for the service, Supabase sends a confirmation link to your address.
League participation
- Season membership, league level, league group, league points, games played, and when you joined. Other players in your group see your username, league, rank, league points, and games played. They do not see your email.
- For each league game: difficulty, start and expiry time, the puzzle, status (active, completed, abandoned, or expired), mistakes, elapsed time, and the point breakdown when the game is completed.
- The solution is stored on the server so the result can be checked. It is not shown to other players.
Hint rewards
- Your hint balance, and a record of each hint granted with its reason: a completed league game, a rewarded ad, a season result, or converted tokens. For a rewarded ad, Google’s transaction identifier is stored.
- Each hint used in a league game: the game, the cell, and the digit. Using a hint does not change the points for that game.
- So that hints work instantly and offline, a signed-in player’s hint balance and pending hint events (rewarded ads watched and hints used, with the game and cell) are kept on the device. They are sent to the server when a league game is completed, or the next time the app syncs. The server applies these events itself and never accepts a balance from the device.
Rewarded advertisements
- Rewarded ads are optional. After a completed league game, an ad can add extra league points and one hint. During a league game, an ad can add one hint.
- For these two ads, the request to Google includes your account identifier and either the completed game’s identifier or a hint-ad request identifier created on the server. Google then calls the app’s server to confirm the reward (server-side verification). The server records the request time, whether the reward was granted, when Google confirmed it, and Google’s transaction identifier.
- The hint from an ad is usable as soon as Google’s ad reports that you earned it. If Google’s confirmation has not arrived when your game is synced, the server may count that ad and record that it was claimed before confirmation. These records are kept to detect abuse. A reward is never granted twice for the same ad.
- Watching an ad on the Themes screen unlocks a theme for 24 hours. That request does not include your account identifier. If you are signed in, the server stores the theme, a random request identifier, and the expiry time. Themes unlocked with league points are also stored with your account.
- Guest rewarded ads do not include an account identifier. Guest rewards are kept only on the device.
Advertising
Store builds for iOS and Android request banner and rewarded ads from Google AdMob. Development and test builds request only Google’s test ads. Before requesting ads, the app asks Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent where it is required. If consent is required and not given, no ad is requested. All ad requests ask for non-personalized ads. The app does not show Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. The app has no separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
Google’s SDK can process device and advertising data under Google’s own policies, including an advertising identifier where the operating system provides one. Consent choices are stored on the device by Google’s SDK. See Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Data kept on your device
The app stores the following in its own storage on the device:
- Your language choice, the Sound effects and Vibration settings, your selected theme, and theme unlocks.
- Guest play: the unfinished guest game, the guest score, and guest hints. Guest play is not sent to the league server.
- An unfinished league game (board, notes, mistakes, elapsed time, and whether a hint was used), so it can be resumed. This copy is not the official score.
- A signed-in player’s hint balance and pending hint events, described above.
- The sign-in session, and Google’s consent choices.
4. Why this information is used
- To create your account and sign you in.
- To run league seasons, rank groups, and show usernames on the leaderboard.
- To check finished league games and award league points and hints.
- To resume an unfinished game on the same device.
- To show ads, verify rewarded ads with Google, and prevent reward abuse.
- To keep your settings and language.
Personal information is not sold.
5. Who receives it
- Supabase hosts sign-in, the database, and the server functions for profiles, leagues, games, hints, and rewards. The app connects with a public client key. Secret keys are not placed in the app.
- Google receives ad requests, consent choices, and the identifiers needed to verify rewarded ads, as described above.
- Other players in your league group see your username, league, rank, league points, and games played.
When the app connects to Supabase or Google, those services receive your device’s IP address as part of the connection. The project’s Supabase database is in the AWS eu-west-1 (Ireland) region. Google’s advertising systems are separate and are not covered by that region.
6. How long it is kept
The app does not delete server records on a schedule. Account, league, game, hint, and reward records are kept until you delete your account (section 7).
Data on the device stays until you delete it. Signing out removes the sign-in session. Deleting your account also removes that account’s hint data from the device. Everything else stays until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall it.
7. Deleting your account
While signed in, open Settings → Delete account. This needs an internet connection and cannot be undone. It deletes:
- Your sign-in account, including your email address and password.
- Your profile, statistics, and hint balance.
- Your league memberships. Your league points leave the group standings.
- Your game results and league games, with their hints and solutions.
- Your hint records, rewarded-ad records, and theme unlocks.
Guest play and app settings on the device are not affected; uninstall the app to remove them. Data that Google processes for ads is governed by Google’s policies. You can also request deletion by email, without the app or signing in. The account deletion page explains both ways and what is deleted or kept.
8. Children
Sudoku League is not made for children. The app does not ask for age and has no children’s mode. It uses accounts and advertising. Do not create an account if you are under the age required in your country to consent to this kind of service. A parent or guardian can contact the email address above about a child’s account.
9. Your choices
- Play as a guest without an account.
- Sign out. This does not delete your account or league history.
- Delete your account in Settings (section 7).
- Choose the app language, and turn Sound effects and Vibration on or off.
- Skip rewarded ads. They are always optional.
- Accept or refuse ad consent where Google requires it. Refusing means no ads are requested. Where Google requires a privacy options entry, Settings → Ad privacy opens Google’s form.
- Clear the app’s storage or uninstall it to remove data kept only on the device.
For any other request about your data, email the address in section 1.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the document date at the top will change. The app links to this policy from Settings → Privacy Policy.
