You can delete your Sudoku League account in the app, or by email without installing the app or signing in. Deleting an account cannot be undone.
1. Delete in the app
- Open Sudoku League and sign in to the account.
- Tap the gear button on the Home or Profile screen to open Settings.
- Tap Delete account, then confirm with Delete account.
An internet connection is needed. The account is deleted when the app shows “Your account was deleted.” The app then signs you out.
2. Request deletion by email
You do not need the app or a sign-in. Send an email to bahadirtelef9@gmail.com with:
- The subject “Delete my Sudoku League account”.
- The email address of the account. If you can, send the request from that address.
- Your username, if you remember it.
Never send your password or a verification code. They are not needed, and we will never ask for them.
Email requests are handled by the operator. If you write from a different address, we reply to the account’s email address, and the account is deleted only after the request is confirmed from there. We reply by email when the account has been deleted. The same data is deleted as with deletion in the app (section 3).
3. What is deleted
- Your sign-in account, including your email address and password.
- Your username, profile, statistics, and hint balance.
- Your league memberships. Your username and league points leave the group standings.
- Your game results and league games, with their hints and solutions.
- Your hint records, rewarded-ad records (including Google’s transaction identifiers), and theme unlocks.
These records are removed from the Sudoku League database. They are not hidden or kept in anonymous form. Deleting in the app also removes that account’s hint data from the device you use.
4. What may be kept, why, and for how long
- Data on your device. Guest play (the guest game, score, and hints) and app settings (language, sound, vibration, and theme) are not part of the account, so they are not deleted with it. After deletion by email, the hint data and sign-in session that the app stored for the account on your devices also stay. All of this stays until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app.
- Supabase service logs. Supabase hosts the app’s sign-in, database, and server functions, and keeps technical logs of requests to operate and secure its service. These logs can include the account identifier and your device’s IP address. They are not deleted with the account. Supabase deletes them automatically; on the project’s current Supabase plan, logs are kept for 1 day.
- Backups. The Sudoku League database has no automatic backups or point-in-time recovery, so deleted records are not kept in a database backup.
- Your deletion request. If you request deletion by email, your message and our reply stay in the support mailbox as a record that the request was handled.
- Google. Data that Google processes for ads and consent is held by Google under Google’s Privacy Policy, including its retention periods. Deleting your Sudoku League account does not change it.
